Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City in New Jersey was recognized as the No.1 fundraiser by the American Cancer Society after raising over $164,000 through their annual Pinktober initiative. As part of the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, the resort has been raising funds to support breast cancer awareness and research for 23 years.
The Pinktober initiative has been successful in raising more than $10 million for the American Cancer Society so far, including $1.2 million in 2022. The funds raised by Hard Rock Atlantic City will be used to support the American Cancer Society’s mission locally.
The resort conducted several fundraisers as part of the Pinktober initiative, including being the presenting sponsor of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Ocean City and hosting concerts by rock-n-roll legends Foreigner. Additionally, themed food and beverage offerings, deluxe Pinktober Rock Spa services, and limited-edition merchandise were available for purchase to contribute to the cause.
In addition to fundraising, Hard Rock Atlantic City and Atlantic Medical Imaging through the AMI Foundation provided team members with the opportunity to obtain breast cancer screenings during their workday through the Dr. Jan Austin Mobile Digital Mammography Van.
